This weeks technique is brought to you by our wonderful Design Team Coordinator - Julia Stainton. Here she has shown how to get the most out of your stamps...by showing you how to make a Reverse Image of your solid image stamps! Enjoy!

Supplies Needed:

Step One
Lay stamp on top of foam. Cut foam to desired shape leaving a border around the stamp. Trim off any rough edges.
Step Two
Heat grey side of foam with heat gun for about 20 seconds. Keep your heat gun moving over the surface for an even heat.
Step Three
Quickly press stamp evenly into heated surface of foam and hold firmly for approximately 30 seconds to allow foam to cool into pressed shape.
Step Four
Turn foam over and check impression. If your impression is not perfect…don’t worry. The foam can be reheated and try again.

Step Five
Ink reverse foam stamp. I find that chalk inks work great for this technique. I ink the stamp and then brush the ink around with my pad to get a smoother look.
Step Six
Lay stamp ink side down onto cardstock and press firmly and evenly to get a good impression.
The Finished Project
Now that you have a good clean impression, finish your project as desired! As always, we love to see when people try out the weekly technique so please upload to the gallery and be sure to post a link back here so we can all "oooohhh and aaaaaahhh" over it! Smile
