Stardust Gel Pens
Please click here to enjoy savings on this product!
The Sakura Clear Stardust Gel Pen is the perfect tool to add just a little shimmer to any of your rubber stamping or paper crafting projects.
TIPS AND TRICKS
-Use a very light hand to apply the glitter to your project to achieve the most natural effect. It's almost like drizzling the ink onto the paper.
-If covering a larger area, use a small circular motion to achieve a smooth, even effect.
-Try adding the sparkle to the following images for some amazing results: water, rain, snow, sentiments, bling, flames/glowing candles, create highlights where you would use a white gel pen.
TECHNICAL QUALITIES
Patented, clear glittering ink
Patented gel pen delivery system
Consistent 0.5mm bold line (1.0mm ball)
Does not bleed through most papers
Not intended for archival use
Meets ASTM and ACMI non-toxicity standards
(technical qualities from the www.sakura.com)
We have created some samples to inspire you as well:

These ARE wonderful! It's perfect for adding subtle shimmer - and so much less mess than using glitter.
Thanks for the spotlight! I'll have to post something soon...

Love, love, LOVE these pens. On occassion, my hand tends to be king of heavy. I have found that I can kind of 'smear' the wet ink lightly with my finger to remove the actual pen strokes for that softer affect that Lisa is talking about.
Wonderful tool! You can see where I have used the Stardust Clear pen here on the Thomas Kinkaid Silent Night Vingette to give some sparkle to the areas lighted by they windows and lamppost:

I think the second sample is maybe Keri's silhouette flowers cards from the reverse masking technique. She mentioned the product spotlight and the Sakura pens in the tutorial description - there's a little glitter around the base of the flowers. I think you can see it most clearly on the close-up shot in the tutorial rather than the shot of the whole card in the gallery. _________________ Joanne x

I bought these pens as soon as they came out. They really do add sparkle to cards and projects. My favorite Sakura Stardust Gel Pen is the clear one.

| Does it matter how you store them--i.e., laying flat, standing up, upside down? Thanks! |

I am not sure if it matters but I do store all my Sakuras horizontally when I am not using them. I have not had one dry out on me yet and I've had them for a while now. _________________ myblog: http://www.moregreenwool.com |

That's a great question. Mine have always been upright so I would love to hear more on this subject. _________________ Alli Miles

I lay mine down too. I read somewhere that laying your pens and markers horizontally would prevent them from drying up too quickly. I have had my Sakura gel pens for a long time and they are still working great. I store my pens and markers in a plastic container that has 3 draws in each one. They fit perfectly and I can store lots of them in each draw.
