For the next two weeks, Tim Holtz Distress Inks are our product spotlight at Cornish Heritage Farms. These fabulous inks are specially formatted dye inks that come in the most fabulous colors. These colors are beautiful, muted colors that work together for a beautiful vintage or shabby look. I love them so much I often use them for all my stamping styles.

Tim Holtz Distress ink are available in 24 non- toxic and acid free shades. I love the 2x2 raised felt ink pad format that allows for easy holding and direct to paper methods. The inks are fade resistant and are perfect for using on scrapbooks, altered projects, photos, papers and fibres. Tim Holtz Distress Reinkers are available for each of the Distress Ink pads making your ink pad able to be used for years to come.

But what makes Distress Inks different from other dye inks? Tim Holtz Distress Inks are specially designed with particular properties in mind. These inks are formulated to stay wet longer than regular dye inks. This allows you to blend colors better on photos and paper. Try using them to create beautiful scenic backgrounds! Another bonus of this is that because the dye inks do not dry as quickly...you can actually emboss them easily. One thing to note if you are using them for regular stamping...be careful to take into account their longer drying time. If you are in a rush, simply heat set with your heat gun to speed things up.

The Tim Holtz Distress ink are also designed for color stability. Have you ever tried to waterdown a black or brown ink only to have it turn purple or pink in color? Try this with these Distress Inks....it just won't happen. Because these inks are designed not to break down but instead react well with water...the inks travel well across wet paper. This is called wicking. Try it with one or two distress inks to see the beautiful tones you can create.

I've just listed a few of the ways that you can use these great inks. Below are some samples you may want to take a peek at. If you're considering giving these inks a try...now is a fabulous time. The Time Holtz Distress Inks are on sale at CHF for the next two weeks. I know I'm off to take inventory so that I can complete my collection. Smile
