Handbag Inspired
|
I was inspired by a handbag for this card.
-I used alcohol inks on glossy paper for the navy background.
-The plants were heat embossed.
-The large flower die cut is from QuicKutz and EK Success for the center under the decorative brad. The stem and leaf were free hand cut and reverse embossed with a metal ball stylus. All flower pieces were ink distressed. The flower is attached to the card with the brad, the greenery with Diamond Glaze which gives a stronger hold on glossy paper.
-The word window was punched twice with red and once with white to form the sentiment panel and the end was cut off.
-The red card base was heat embossed with clear powder. It’s hard to get adhesive to stick to the embossed area so I masked off the center area about 1/8” smaller than the outside border to avoid that area being embossed.
-The inside and envelope were stamped with the same plant image using ink similar in color to the embossing powder.
-Even though I used the embossing bag it still scattered some powder but I figured even before I started the process that it would just resemble night insects or pollen caught in the light which adds to the scene. Works for me!!!
