Resist Challenge

Hi all! Well, this was my 3rd take on a resist card! I've never done this technique before!! I used the Paisley Pattern Scrapblock with clear embossing powder. After I rubbed over it with Stampin' Up's Real Red ink, I thought it looked way too bright, so I sponged on some Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Distress Ink. Much better! The star was stamped with the Aged Sheet Music Scrapblock and then cut out freehand and distressed with Vintage Photo Distress Ink. The sentiment is from Kim Hughe's America the Beautiful set. I finished it off with a couple of brads, buttons, a bit of ribbon and twine and some red rhinestones. Now I think it looks so cute with my 4th of July decor up on my mantle that it will probably never be sent to anyone! :-)

WOW - that must have taken a LOT of EP, but the final effect is BEAUTIFUL! Very nice patriotic card, and I really like the little brads on the side and the button cluster at theother end.
