Description: I made this using Kim Hughes' Ocean Friends set. My treasure chest is a Jolless sticker that I altered, I took the birhtday presents out of it and put in the shells and such! My fish and seaweeds are paper pieced from DCWV pastel stack. I really like making scenes!

Description: I stamped Elvis in Weathered Wood Distress Ink and then clear embossed him. I also clear embossed a circular area where I would put the sentiment. I then stamped the Trees Backgrounder in black. I then stamped the sentiment in black and embossed that as well. This panel is matted on white with a 1/8th inch frame. I tried many different embellishments on this card however the portrait of Elvis is such a strong imge in itself that most detracted from the card. I ended up with a line of gold brads reminding me of some of his studded outfits. Thank you for looking.

Description: What fun this card was to make! I had the idea in my head ever since I saw the challenge, and it all came to be finished this morning. I used Kim Hughes' Ocean friends set to make this underwater scene. All the creatures and seaweed are stamped on K and co. MIRA DP, then cut out and assembled. The sandy ocean floor is torn paper that was specked and sponged. The sand dollars and scallop shell are cut with Cuttlebug dies from Fabriano watercolor paper. I used chalk inks on the scallop shell. I added crystal stickles to the seaweed and after that dried I clear embossed the whol thing! I find that I love the intensity of colors achieved with clear embossing. I hope you like my card!

I love this medium of paper piecing because I could have the fish swimming *through* the seaweed, it looks so cool IRL!!! The sandy ocean floor is torn paper that was specked and sponged. Description: I love the TK stamps and ordered the whole set when they were first released. I love how this card came out, it is a far cry from my usual bright colors. I must try to remember how beautiful neutral colors can be! TFL!

Description: I used the Elvis images for this collage card as well as a photo of the King, I used the words from Blue Suede Shoes as a background. This was done for a Splitcoast challenge. I did it in blue because despite his fame and fortune I do think Elvis was sad deep down inside... Thanks for looking!!

Summer Design Challenge, Water You Up To?

Description: Everyone who knows me knows that I adore swimming so this set by Kim Hughes is a must have! I used the set *Ocean Friends* to create my watery greeting card! After stamping the waves at the top, I masked the seaweed and sea creatures and used vivid colors of my markers to color them. I then used a versamark pen and clear embossed them. I sponged in my water using various shades of blue, and then clear embossed the whole piece to really give the look of an underwater scene. I then added the tiniest bits of liquid applique at the tops of my waves to create seafoam!! The scene is layered on a cuttlebugged piece, I added the greeting and a bright sun to complete my card. I stamped the face from the jellyfish on the sun to add whimsy, and ringed it with yellow stickles. I hope you like it!
