Anniversary card

Description: My enrty for the challenge. Loved this lion stamps the moment I saw it, and I made an anniversary card whith it. To give it a bit masculine look, I distressed the edges, and used big metal brads to fasten the text I printed on vellum. I used promarkers and chalks to colour this, and coloures a bit over the edges to give it a more free form.

Description: Thanks very much for this challenge...I have lots of 'dead images' in various states of color on the floor. So in that regard, I learned I need more practice on the smaller scale images (ie TK's). Gotta check out those tips... Watercoloring is my favorite way to color. The hydrangea was stamped on cold press paper with VersaFine Olympic green. I used CHF ribbon and lace backgrounder stamped with Adirondack Lettuce ink on the celery card base and with Stampin Up soft sky on soft sky paper. The quote is from Mona Lisa expressions: Motivational Centers and the hinge also, (CHF)...love this, there is a dragonfly hinge and well as angel hinge. I chose one of the other ornate hinges...inked it with ColorBox sepia black and embossed with Tim Holtz walnut stain distress powder. I added seam binding at the top which I shredded to add some texture. I forgot to add my butterfly is from the Saturday Evening post collection, Vintage Butterflies.

Description: Good evening! My Aunt is in the hospital, so I used this challenge to create a get well card for her with Kim Hughes' 'Comforting Hugs' set. I just love Kim's style. I am hoping the expressions on their little faces will bring a smile to my Aunt's face as well. They were colored with Copic markers and I added bright green brads to give some dimension to their antenae, with a little citrus ribbon at the corners. Thank you for looking at my card.

Description: Love this Tom Allen Friendly Kritters stamp, and it's perfect with this sentiment! Since my name is Robin, I had to make the bird a robin... The image was colored with Copic markers and cut out using a Nestabilities die. I tore the edge of a piece of Eclipse masking paper to resemble clouds and airbrushed the sky, moving the masking paper around. I added some Glossy Accents to the water drop and the bird's eye. The bottom edges of the mat layers were cut using a Martha Stewart border punch and the ribbon is from Martha Stewart as well. Thanks for looking! Description: I used Kim Hughes "Ahoy Matey" for my main image! So fun to colour! I used copics and I also added some Diamond Glaze to his cute little pirate hat and his eye. The earring is coloured with gold deco pen. The backgrounder is Large Polka Dot by Cornish Heritage Farms, and the sentiment is from "Birthday Centers"

Summer Design Challenge, Water You Up To?

Description: Everyone who knows me knows that I adore swimming so this set by Kim Hughes is a must have! I used the set *Ocean Friends* to create my watery greeting card! After stamping the waves at the top, I masked the seaweed and sea creatures and used vivid colors of my markers to color them. I then used a versamark pen and clear embossed them. I sponged in my water using various shades of blue, and then clear embossed the whole piece to really give the look of an underwater scene. I then added the tiniest bits of liquid applique at the tops of my waves to create seafoam!! The scene is layered on a cuttlebugged piece, I added the greeting and a bright sun to complete my card. I stamped the face from the jellyfish on the sun to add whimsy, and ringed it with yellow stickles. I hope you like it!

Color It goodies: Copic & SU Markers to color the trees, bee, bee trail, outline the clouds and the grass for the Challenge #1 for the Summer Stamp Star Design Challenge. Stazon Ink (Pumpkin) for the sentiment. And.... The little 3D flowers and Sun were taken off a Karen Foster Stacked Statement (I totally dissected it!)... PP is from Fancy Pants. Card Stock by Bazzil. Other Comments: OK.. I fretted about this challenge so much!!!! I am NOT a color artist! So, yes, it was a challenge for me.. I have tons of trees colored on my desk :)

Description: My entry for the color challenge. I paired the West Quoddy, Me CDD-1613H with the SS-103GUM Joys and Sorrows stamp to create a ocean scene. The main images are colored using watercolor pencils and touched up with the water brush. The edges are sponged using a dye ink.

Description: This rose stamp was colored on watercolor paper using SU Watercolor Crayons. The stamp is a Carolyn Shores Wright stamp. The background is Pretty Pattern Backgrounder and the sentiment "a love story" is from CHF Wedding Centers. The rose has a little bit of glimmer from a Gelly Roll pen and some Glimmer Mist.

Description: Stamps used: Boys will be boys and Take Time to enjoy your day. Stamped Boys will be boys onto watercolour paper, and coloured with pastel chalks. Cut out the section I wanted. On a sheet of basic grey card - I coloured it to co-ordinate with the colours of the boy's clothing - so it now bears no relation to how the sheet of card started out. Stamped 'Take time' quote on to a tag I die cut and coloured it.

Description: The gnome in this stamp set is perfect for coloring...and the set is so easy to make a scene with too... I water colored the card using SU! and Ranger reinkers. Love this tech....I haven't been using this tech much, since I've gotten my Copic markers.... so this was refreshing to go back to watercoloring with reinkers. I also used some diamond stickles on the clouds and poped the clouds on diamentionals.... Thanks for Looking!!!! Stamps: Forest Friendzy Ink: SU! & Ranger re-inkers. Description: First of all, thank you to CHF for sponsoring this contest. Instead of the traditional red poppy, I decided to make a California Golden poppy. I painted the poppy first with SU WWC in orange and pumpkin (with an aquapainter), but poppy leaves are so shimmery, I overlaid the crayon with Twinkling H20s in Mandarin Blush and Mango Mamba. The poppy center I colored with SU black crayon, then made the tiny black bumps you see in a poppy center using Black Diamond stickles. Sponged around the oval with chalks. Thank you for looking. Description: This is my entry for the Color It challenge!!! Don't laugh!!! LOL!!! This is the most detailed image I have of CHF to color. I do love this coneflower, though. I combined this challenge with SCS color challenge today(CC225)! I am using CHF single Coneflower and Mona Lisa's Script Essential Expressions sets. I colored my coneflower using copics. I used an ornare piercing template to create some visual interest around the borders. I finished with a slightly skewed oval center sentiment. I added silver pearl domes in various sizes to complete my card.
